Man, can Etsy be a black hole. I started by looking for vintage sewing patterns and ended up discovering this amazing little shop, Wind & Willow Home.
Each piece is hand-dipped in custom-mixed colored rubber by shop owner Araya Jensen, who's also a talented kitchen & bath interior designer. She doesn't measure out the dipped area, opting instead for a beautifully organic look. Everything in the shop is just lovely, and inexpensive to boot - all of these items would inject a fun color accent into a room. Neon pieces (still not tired of it!) are playful and lively, while muted purples, blues, and grays are subtly elegant.
I wonder if she uses Plastidip? I've been wanting to purchase their Create Your Color Kit for about two years now, envisioning dipped utensils, canvas bags, you name it! Seeing the kit featured as a Best Bet in this month's New York magazine brought these crafty ideas to the front of my mind again...after sewing month, I see some dipping in my future!
Wooden Mini Bowl, Set of 5, $36
Neon Mini Planters, Set of 4, $24
Have you made any amazing Etsy discoveries lately? I find it so inspiring that there's no shortage of creative, talented people in the world and can literally spend hours on the site if I'm not careful!
